This Week's Menu 3/5 - 3/10

Good ol' turnips showed up in our co-op produce basket this week.
I don't think I've ever eaten them, let alone cooked them. Wish me luck.

Saturday: {Friends over for BYU game} Turkey Burgers + Chips + Fruit Salad + Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie* & Ice Cream for dessert
Sunday: Stir Fry (with Choo's Marinaded Chicken) + Brown Rice + Fresh Pineapple (yum!)
Tuesday: Whole Wheat Pizza + Green Salad
Wednesday: Burritos (w/ Ground Turkey) + Fruit
Thursday: Sandwiches {w/ shredded Italian Beef and BBQ Chicken from freezer} on Rolls + Cheesy Turnips & Carrots*

* An asterick (*) means I'll be trying the recipe for the first time.

How did the cheesy turnips turn out? We got them too and I don't know what to do with them! :)

I didn't make that recipe actually. Someone told me to cook them just like mashed potatoes and maybe add peeled apples to the pot while they're boiling. Hmmm. I'm going to try it this week.
