Self-Filled Cupcakes


1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
1-8 oz. pkg cream cheese, softened
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
Dash salt
1-6 oz. pkg (1 c.) chocolate pieces, chips

Mix cake according to package directions. Fill paper baking cups in muffin pan 2/3 full. Cream the cheese with the sugar; beat in egg and salt. Stir in chocolate pieces. Drop one rounded teaspoon of cheese mixture into each cupcake. Bake as package directs. Makes about 30 cupcakes.
