So Long Subs

1/3 c. Fresh Basil, chopped (I used a few shakes of Italian seasoning)
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
1 loaf unsliced French Bread (we've used hoagie buns)
6 oz. Mozzarella, thinly sliced
4-6 oz. Pastrami, thinly sliced
2 Tomatoes, thinly sliced
1/8 tsp Black Pepper

In a small bowl combine basil, oil, and vinegar; set aside. Slice bread in half lengthwise. Using a small spoon, hallow out bottom half. Layer the pastrami, tomato slices, and half of cheese. Top with basil mix and then sprinkle with pepper. Top with the rest of cheese. Place on a cookie sheet and put in oven for 10 minutes or until cheese melts and bread is toasted. Serve open-faced.
